Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Pro 3:5-6

The Hope Community Church exists to be a light to the community, to offer hope and comfort to those in need. We also believe that, in Christ, the light of the world, salvation is made freely available to all who willingly will receive it. The Church is a recognised and well-established Christian Church in England and Wales with fully biblical teachings.
As you peruse these pages, articles, lessons and testimonies on this site, we pray that you will be encouraged, comforted, informed and strengthened whether you are a Christian or someone who is ‘searching’ for truth. Wake up each morning to a spiritual thought from the ‘devotional’ section or enjoy a journey through the bible on the ‘bible on 356 days’ link. Alternatively, enjoy the dramatic talent of the youth in the ‘knock-knock ministries’ link. For those who are single, married or parents, you can receive fresh encouragement from the articles on these subjects; they will all be a blessing to you.
Every morning, we all experience the same miracle; the sun rises, the darkness dissipates and a new day begins. In the same way there is always hope for you in Christ no matter how dark it may now seem. There is hope for the world.
‘for God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shouldn’t perish but have everlasting life’ (John 3:16)

Church of God of Prophecy Hope Community Church
The Church of God of Prophecy is firm in its commitment to orthodox Christian belief. We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He performed, His atoning death upon the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory at His second coming.
We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful mankind. We believe the sinner is brought to an awareness of the need for salvation through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that in sanctification by the blood of Christ, one is made holy. We affirm the present, active ministry of the Holy Spirit who guides the Church and by whose indwelling and empowerment we are able to live godly lives and render effective service to God and others. We believe in the oneness and ultimate unity of believers for which our Lord prayed, and that this should be visibly displayed “that the world may know, see, and believe” God’s glory, the coming of His Son, and the great love He has for His people (John 17:20-23). We are committed to the sanctity of the marriage bond and the importance of strong, loving Christian families.
The Church of God of Prophecy is a vibrant, worldwide body of believers, united in worship, working hand-in-hand to share God’s love and a message of hope to the brokenhearted.
The organisation has over one-and-a-half million members, worshiping in over 10,000 churches or missions in 130 nations of the world. Nearly 90% of our global membership is outside of North America.
Soon led by an energetic young pastor from Indiana named A.J. Tomlinson, the group was more formally organized in 1903 into the Church of God and relocated its headquarters to neighboring Cleveland, Tennessee the following year. From Appalachia to the World, the century that followed saw great growth in all the branches of this movement.
From the beginning, these spiritual pioneers traced their roots to the New Testament church and considered themselves a continuation of the Spirit-filled Christianity exhibited in the book of Acts. This desired connection with early Christian expression continues today with a mandate that all church decisions be committed to prayer and based on scripture.
In contemporary theological terms, the Church of God of Prophecy is a Protestant, Evangelical, Wesleyan holiness, Pentecostal movement that believes in man’s freewill regarding salvation.
In the opening session of the 98th International Assembly of the Church of God of Prophecy, the Assembly affirmed Bishop Sam N. Clements as the new General Overseer. The Presbyter Board, which he will chair, consists of himself and seven other General Presbyters who preside over specific areas but formulate in a leadership of plurality. More detail regarding the leadership of the Church of God of Prophecy is located in Structure & Regions. Click here for more information.
